Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Chicken Pull meat from bones and tear into small bite size pieces
  • 1-2 cup Kale Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Kohlrabi sliced
  • 1 cup Carrots sliced
  • 1/2 cup Onions chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Celery chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh herbs: Parsley, Rosemary, Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Brown Rice

Directions

  • Bring broth to boil
  • Add chopped vegetables, herbs, salt & pepper
  • Cook rice in 2 cups of broth separately for 25 minutes till almost done
  • Add rice to vegetable and broth mixture
  • Cook on simmer till vegetables are done, about 30 minutes
  • Add chicken and cook for another 15 minutes to combine flavors
