Ingredients
- 1 Whole Chicken Pull meat from bones and tear into small bite size pieces
- 1-2 cup Kale Chopped
- 1/2 cup Kohlrabi sliced
- 1 cup Carrots sliced
- 1/2 cup Onions chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Celery chopped
- 3 tablespoons Fresh herbs: Parsley, Rosemary, Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon Celery seed
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper
- 2 cups Chicken broth
- 1 cup Brown Rice
Directions
- Bring broth to boil
- Add chopped vegetables, herbs, salt & pepper
- Cook rice in 2 cups of broth separately for 25 minutes till almost done
- Add rice to vegetable and broth mixture
- Cook on simmer till vegetables are done, about 30 minutes
- Add chicken and cook for another 15 minutes to combine flavors
